Hawaii Beaches

A discussion about Hawaii and your Hawaii vacation would not be complete with mention of the Hawaii beaches. Since Hawaii is an island -- six islands actually -- the number of beaches in Hawaii is great and each is more spectacular than the previous one. The beaches provide their own unique set of activities for the Hawaii vacationer, including sunning, surfing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, and much more.

During your Hawaii vacation, you will want to experience as many of the different Hawaiian beaches as possible, but for your primary beach to visit and relax, you should spend some time thinking about what kinds of activites you wish to engage in. Just as an example, the Lanikai Bech on the island of Oahu offers superb facilities for swimming, wind surfing, and even for kayaking. But by contrast, the Hanauma Bay Beach also on Oahu does not offer nearly as much in terms of wind surfing or kayaking, but offers a wide range of other water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
